Initial Assessment and Report - £180

Before any therapy intervention begins, I will need to complete an assessment so that we know what your child is good at, and what they need support with.

Depending on your child, assessments may involve observation (at home or in the nursery setting, or sometimes both), a more structured assessment, and discussions with yourself/keyworkers.

After the assessment is completed, I will write a report that summarises your child’s strengths and areas they need support with. The report will include some recommendations for home and nursery, as appropriate.

In some circumstances a more detailed assessment lasting 2-3 hours may be needed (can be spread over a few days). This would include a more detailed report. The maximum charge for this would be £400.

Caregiver Coaching - £60/hr

Caregiver coaching (AKA parent coaching) is an evidence-based approach where the therapist (me) supports you to use strategies and skills that support your child’s communication skills at home.

Your child spends more time with you than they will with me. The aim of caregiver coaching is that you’ll feel confident and empowered to use strategies and skills with your child even when I’m not there.

In sessions we’ll work together to identify strategies and skills that are most suitable for your child and your family.

As a parent, I know it is hard to find time during our busy schedules to fit in even more responsibilities. So in our sessions we’ll practice during activities and routines you’re already doing at home, meaning there’s no need to set aside specific time to practise, as you’ll learn how to use these skills and strategies throughout your day!

Direct Therapy - £60/hr

I conduct direct therapy sessions with children in home and nursery settings, if this is something your child will benefit from.

I will use a play-based approach to support your child’s speech, language, and communication skills in our sessions.

Although I will be working with your child, you will need to be present during the direct therapy sessions, so that you understand what your child is working on and how you can support them at home between sessions.

If we are doing direct therapy in the nursery setting, it is preferred that your child’s keyworker is present in the sessions if possible, so that they know how to support your child in the nursery setting between sessions.

Bespoke Training - £POA

Bespoke training sessions are available for groups of parents, nursery/early years settings, and schools.

Topics can include:
early language development
general language strategies
speech sound development and strategies.

I can also offer training on other topics if required. Please contact me to discuss your needs.
